Jon founded Tri-Star Advisors in 2009 and continues to work closely with clients building personalized bond portfolios.
Jon is a member of the CFA Society of Houston and has been in the business since 1994.
Jon graduated from Baylor University with a double major in finance and international business and earned his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1997.
William (“Bill”) Payne co-founded Tri-Star Advisors in 2009. With more than 30 years of fixed income wealth management experience, Bill leads teams of financial planners, insurance specialists, lawyers, accountants and bankers in coordinating every aspect of his clients’ financial lives.
Outside of the office Bill enjoys playing golf, wine, traveling and staying actively involved in the Sugar Land community where he lives.
Crystal received her Certified Financial Planning Certificate from Rice University and has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) since 2012. She graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in marketing with minors in public relations, management and European studies. She also received a certificate from the nationally ranked Program for Excellence in Selling. She has over nine years of industry experience and diversified experience in client relationship management and administrative functions. Today, she is responsible for the daily management of accounts and operations of our business.
Outside of work Crystal enjoys spending time with her family and friends, volunteering for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, reading, gardening, practicing yoga, playing soccer and volleyball. Crystal is also a freelance writer about food and wine and is Level 2 Certified with the International Sommeliers Guild.
Chamie joined Tri-Star in 2006 and has over 12 years of experience focusing on fixed income investments. She provides expertise in certificates of deposit (CDs) to advisors and their high net worth clients. Her career began with Spires Financial in 1996 as manager of institutional new accounts, where she also handled the clearing of multi-billion dollar new issue collateralized mortgage obligations (CMOs). At Coastal Securities she specialized in agency securities for institutional accounts as the assistant trader on the taxable fixed income desk.
Debbie is responsible for the day-to-day accounting and back-office activities of Tri-Star Advisors. Since 1997, she’s been managing wealth management practices. She holds the FINRA Series 27 license (Financial & Operating Principal).
Debbie volunteers as a National Memorial Lady serving the families of deceased veterans. When not working, she enjoys camping, gardening and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
